Singapore Poker Championships

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Singapore Poker Championships (SPC) collects, why, who we share it with, and how you can ask us to change or delete it.

Who we are and how to reach us

SPC organises poker tournaments and runs sgpokerchamps.com, the SPC Community Card, and the SPC Concierge chat assistant. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean SPC.

For any question or request about your personal data, contact our Data Protection Officer at admin@sgpokerchamps.com. We aim to reply within 30 days.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run our events and keep you informed.

SourceWhat we collect
SPC Community Card registrationYour name, email address and country. We assign you a member ID and a QR code.
Tournament entry and resultsWhich events you enter, your finishing position, prize amount and Player of the Year (POTY) points.
Event photographyPhotos taken at our events, which may include you, particularly if you win or finish high.
NewsletterYour email address, and whether our emails are delivered, opened or bounce.
SPC Concierge chatThe messages you type. Email addresses and phone numbers are masked before chats are stored.
Website analyticsAnonymous, aggregated visit data such as pages viewed, referring site, country and device type. This does not identify you.

We do not collect payment details. Tournament buy-ins are paid in cash at the venue.

How we use it

  • Event entry: your Community Card lets you check in quickly at every event without re-registering.
  • Running tournaments: your real name is used in our tournament system for seating, results and payouts.
  • Results and rankings: we record your results, calculate POTY standings and publish results on our website.
  • Results reporting: we submit tournament results to poker results databases so your finishes are recorded in your player history.
  • Newsletters: we send event news and promotions to subscribers. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Answering questions: the Concierge uses your messages to answer you. We review chat logs to improve its answers. If you include your email address or phone number, it is passed to our team so we can follow up with you.
  • Improving the website: anonymous analytics show us which pages are useful.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where needed to run SPC.

  • Published on our website: winners, top finishers and POTY standings, with names, results and sometimes photos.
  • Poker results databases: we submit names and results to The Hendon Mob (https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com) and SomuchPoker (https://somuchpoker.com). Once published there, those records are controlled by those sites under their own policies.
  • Service providers that run our systems: database hosting (Supabase), website and application hosting (Vercel and Render), email delivery (MailerSend and Resend), and AI providers that generate some Concierge answers. They process data only to provide their service to us.
  • Legal requirements: where we are required by law to disclose information.

Cabins, ferry tickets and travel packages are booked with New Century Tours, not SPC. Anything you give them is covered by their own privacy policy.

Storage, security and retention

Your data is stored with our service providers and may be processed outside your country of residence. We use access controls and limit access to the people who run SPC.
